Starry Afternoon

Was at Heeren this afternoon and bumped into many familiar faces. Recognise them? ;)

Another Tai-Tai Day

Went for massage with J & CH to Aramsa Spa at Bishan Park today. It's nice cos park setting. First time we go massage together. Was quite fun! We should do it again! :)

Then had dinner with J, CH, LD & his gf at Shimbashi Soba at Paragon. We could see the chef making the soba from our table... really a lot of hard work man! But oh, the soba is really GOOD!

We went to watch Alvin & The Chipmunks after dinner. And stopped to take some photos of the Christmas lights on the way back. So pretty!

French Food

Went for office arranged din wif J, LPC & LD at Andre Wine & Dine. CH was 'roaring' abt not being able to go, so LD suggested that we take photos of the food for her :P

Nice food...


We also took lots of photos with the very nice christmas tree! :)

Fitness Day!

Went to try out Sky Fitness at Harbourfront Tower 2 with MW yesterday afternoon. It was raining heavily when we got there. They gave us a trial yoga class, then assigned a personal trainer to us. So stretched out well at yoga class, then did some exercises with the personal trainer, which ended with a jog on the treadmill. Then went for a short massage. Pretty shiok! :)

After that, went back to HQ to play badminton with J, WW, PMT & AL. So had a good workout the whole day. But... ended with dinner at Newton, which of coz included unhealthy food like BBQ sambal stingray! So probably all the workout went to nothing :P

But still it was quite an enjoyable day! Think that's what tai-tais do everyday?

It's Do Hair Day!

Went with J to do hair today. I juz went to trim my hair and was done within an hour. J went to colour and perm her hair, and was there from about 1+ to 8+!! Took some photos of the hair perming process, but think she'll kill me if I post them here. So better not... hehe! :P

WW came to look for us after work, then we went to TCC for a yummy din.

First time I spend such a LONG time in a hair salon!! Lucky quite entertaining to watch the process :P

A Lazy Sunday

Watched 2 movies with AM today - Bee Movie & StarDust.

Both also nice! But think prefer Stardust.

AQ

Went to J's graduation from AQ Course today. Met T outside the room, and he told me not to get a culture shock before we went in.

But nothing he said would have prepared me for the "shock" lor... man... I... have nothing to say... Juz glad I dun have to go for the course... Hope they wun send me!! I'm not comfortable with the whole thing man... Dunno wat to say... Juz one word... Scary!!

Heard lotsa stories before J went for the course... Juz glad that J & the rest didn't get injured and are fine! :) Really hope I wun have to go for the course!! *fingers crossed*

Gluttony Week

Am down with flu... think got lots of flu virus at the library while I was studying for exams, and also cos of the popcorn I ate last week... And maybe cos eat too much! :P

After the huge feast on Monday, met up with MS, KY & ADL on Tuesday for dinner at Magic Wok at Novena Square. Final farewell din with MS before her trip to Sweden. ER supposed to meet us, but he flew us aeroplane at the last minute... sigh...

Then had dinner with DSR & MR at Tonkichi at Shaw House on Wednesday...

Hope will feel better tomorrow! Wanna go Sitex 2007 with WW! :)

Oh, have 3 frens whose birthdays fall on today. They're born in the same year too!

Vertical Challenge 2007

YAY!! Last paper today! Woo hoo! =)

After paper, rushed to HQ for the Vertical Challenge. Took part with MW, WW & JLT. We're supposed to do a relay to climb 25 storeys of our building. So it's about 6 storeys each.

Our team name? Dumbledore's Army! Hee hee! CH made us some mini wizard hats! So cute!! Thank you CH!! :)

So wearing our mini hats and armed with our mighty wands, we dashed up the stairs! Our results were not too bad, considering that we're an all girls team. =)

Many thanks to CH & NN for being our team managers and publicising our team for us, and to J who came all the way from the northwest to support us! =)

Of coz, after running so much, we had to have a feast after that rite? Haha! Had a HUGE din with J & NN at Bali Thai at Novena Square (Velocity).

Manhattan Fish Market

Dun feel like exam time... cos keep going out! Haha! :P

Last nite, had dinner with the gang (J, CH, EL, NN, IR, WW, AL) at Manhattan Fish Market at Plaza Sing. I like the rice! Yummy! =)

But got sore throat... :( Think it's a result of eating too much popcorn the nite before...

After that, went shopping for a wand for our Vertical Challenge next Monday. Got this from Daiso:

After that, we (without NN & IR) went to the arcade and played this really fun game which required us to hit monsters on the touchscreen. Was so tired after that. So went to BK for a drink. By then, we were all quite high! Haha! Also dunno high from wat! :P Probably from the game ba.

Enchanted

Had my Biotech paper today... Gave up almost 20 marks cos couldn't remember!! Oh man...

Anyway, after exam, went to watch the movie Enchanted with J & HS at J8. Was hungry and the popcorn smelled so good, so bought the popcorn combo. Ended up eating almost the entire packet. J & HS didn't help me eat lor... :P

I like the movie! Funny and cute, and the songs quite nice. And of coz there's "McDreamy" Patrick Dempsey to look at :)

After that, J & HS had dinner at Ajisen. I was too full of popcorn to eat much :P

Come out and Play, It's No TV Day!

Took a break from studying and went for J's event at Admiralty Park (next to Republic Poly) today with HS & CH. Actually wanted to join in the Eco-Picnic. HS made sandwiches and CH & me bought some snacks. But the weather was so hot that we juz sat at the tentage to eat our sandwiches and watch the programme :P

I like the TVs placed around the event site :)


After that, went for lunch at Swensens at CWP with J & HS. Of coz didn't study after that lah :P

Long Time No See

Have not seen JL for years... think it's ever since we graduated from NUS! As MS leaving for further studies, we finally arranged to meet up at JL's place in Yishun. 原来 she lives near the CC where my dance class is. So juz walked over after class to meet MS and go up together.

Had dinner cooked by JL at her place. Nice! :) And wow, her kids are both so big ler!! Fun to play with them, but i was tired after a while. They're both so energetic!! Feel so old... JL looks the same tho, even after having 2 kids!

Nice to meet up. Hope we can meet up again soon. Maybe when MS is back.

Farewell to DM

On exam leave the last couple of days to study for exams. But went back to work today for DM's farewell tea at HQ in the afternoon. Sigh... another person leaving... All the best to DM in his new job!

After that, met J for dinner at J8. Had a yummy dinner at the Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room. Very nice food! :)

3 Shocks!

It's a "stressful" day. Firstly, had my first exam paper for this semester in the morning. That was stressful enough!

Then received 3 news abt my JC frens...

Firstly, was on FB with JE in the afternoon at the NTU library (after exam lah) and he told me he would be a father next Feb. Felt so old when I heard that cos I still rem us during our school days... can't imagine him becoming a dad.

Was going to meet MS for dinner before she flies off, so called ADL to ask if she can make it (yeah yeah, I noe... very last min... was busy studying mah...) Obviously she couldn't make it cos so last min!! During the phone call, received my 2nd shock... ADL told me that WP is due to give birth within the next couple weeks!! *faint* So I called WP and had a chat with her. She's still busy working despite being on leave at home waiting for her baby to pop out...

Then I decided to call WN cos he's the most free guy, and usually should be able to meet up. But he told me he can't cos had to take care of 2 people at home... After humming and hawing for some time, he revealed that he had to take care of his new baby!!!??!??! *faint* Apparently his baby just past 1 month old, but he hadn't had time to tell all of us yet. Of coz gave him a big scolding for not telling any of us throughout the 9 month pregnancy + 1 month after baby was born...

3 baby shocks in a day... man!! Told MS during dinner at Newton, and she also nearly fainted with all the news!! How come everybody getting preggy? The baby bonus really working huh?

But anyway, congrats guys!! =) And thanks for all the shocks, esp WP & WN!! :P

Cheat Sheet

We are allowed to bring in 1 piece of A4 "cheat sheet" into our exam today. See what my "cheat sheet" look like! :P Tried to squeeze in lots of stuff. But write until fingers cramped tho!

Indoor Suntan

Got a suntan today... from studying in Bishan Library!!

Had to wear my sunglasses cos of the glare!

Gamers Day

Went to CH's place today to celebrate Deepavali... hehe, no lah, we juz had a gathering there to play mahjong and games.

J & me decided to get some food before going down to CH's place. So got some of the famous muffins from Choc N Spice. The queue was super long!!


Luckily still had some muffins left... but only left with the Choc Chip muffins.

Then went in search for the Crazy Ang Mo and found him. He's really quite crazy ah!



Got the chicken wings after a long wait, then headed for CH's house. And we were not late!! Haha! In fact, we were the 2nd earliest! :)

First time I queue so long for food ah... usually if there's long queue, I'll juz buy some other food... but been hanging out with gourmets (J, CH, LD) lately... they seem to be rubbing some of their tastes on me...!!

Took cab back with J after that, and met this 'scary' taxi uncle whom we suspect were eavesdropping on our conversation in the cab... eeks!

Happy Birthday to me! :)

For the last couple of years, always had to work on my birthday cos it always coincide with this annual event that we have. Was also involved in this year's event, so was hanging around Bishan Park and Junction 8 since last week to prepare for it. Luckily the event was before my birthday this year.

But... had a test on my birthday nite... which I didn't have time to study before cos busy with the event... so had to take leave on my birthday to study... soo sad... :(

But... thanks to my bunch of dear frens, still got to celebrate my birthday the next few days :)

Happy Birthday to PS

Went for K Lunch with AM & CH yesterday at AMK. Then went with AM to AMK Hub to shop for a present for PS. Found a nice looking Nike bag for her.

Then met up with SD (haven't seen her for ages!!) and headed to Pasir Ris Costa Sands for PS' birthday party. Haven't been to chalet for ages... Also met KK at the party. Haven't seen him for ages too!!

Of coz, there was this big sabo waiting for PS... kena cake and water thrown at her. Her frens are sabo experts man!! Action very fast, and they even had 2 teams... one sabo team, and the cake cutting team. Cos as soon as the sabo was over, the cake was served. Simply efficient!! :P

Salsa

Was on course yesterday with J & CH & NN. Fun!! =)

Then tried Salsa last nite... cos office organsied an intro lesson at Shawn & Gladys Danceworld, so went with J & LPC. J is GOOD!! :) LPC & me very stiff... Although we only did basic steps, and didn't perspire as much as hop hop, my legs feel tired today leh... really strange... but think I still prefer hip hop leh.

After that went for dinner at this restaurant at Raffles City till pretty late. Sway... had to work today so had to wake up early. Then had hip hop class with K in the evening.

Sleepy now... zzz...

Game Nite

Met up with YJ, EL and FY last nite. Went to this game cafe called The Mind Cafe at Prinsep St. Luckily we made reservations. The place was super crowded!! And super noisy!! Lost my voice by the end of 2 hours...

Then went to Coffee Club for some tea to soothe our throats and to catch up... Age catching up with us?? Oh man... :p

A Fat Nite

Feel so fat!! Had SUPER fattening dinner last nite with J & LPC at a hawker centre near Great World City (forgot wat the hawker centre is called...). We ordered Hokkien Mee, Fried Kuay Teow, Rojak...

Then went for supper at Havelock Road - Bak Kut Teh!! Very nice & peppery!! :)

Man... so fat!!

A Day At The Zoo

Went to the Zoo today with J, WW & AGL. The animals so cute!!

Sammi Cheng concert

Went for Sammi Cheng's concert juz now... Quite disappointing tho... cos there was no Encore! Can't blame her cos she said she was not feeling too well. But credit to her for giving her all during the fast dance segment. She really danced SUPER engetically.

2 fave sections - special guest segment with Stefanie Sun, and the fast songs/dance segment. She sang only 3 mandarin songs (2 with Stefanie Sun), and the rest were all cantonese songs... which I'm not familiar with. And also my cantonese standard not very good so couldn't really understand what she was saying. But she's pretty humourous... kept poking fun at herself and her fans.

Facebook!

Very hooked to Facebook lately ah! Very fun!! =)

Cruise

Went with J to join her frens on a private cruise today. Never been on a private cruise before. Quite fun wor! :)

Cruised around, and stopped near an island for bbq lunch. Some of the guys went for a swim, and J got thrown into the sea... hee... It started to rain in the afternoon so we hid in the cabin to watch tv, and some of the guys were playing mahjong. Watched the very first season of Friends... man... they all look so different!

Very relaxing trip... can imagine it will be quite shiok to have my own boat... can go cruise around anytime I like... *dreaming*

Early bird gets the books?

Took half day morning leave to go library to study for test today. Couldn't take whole day leave cos had a meeting in the afternoon :(

Decided to leave early and have breakfast at Macs. But then decided was too lazy to walk from Macs to library so went directly to library.

Didn't realise that the library was so popular!! So many people waiting outside for it to open...

Later on realised that 原来 everybody going early to chope tables for studying...

New shoes!

MW has been shopping online lately, so I also started to surf around, and found cheap cheap Air Jordans being sold online in USA!! Seldom see Air Jordans being sold in Singapore, and the designs they bring in are really limited, plus they bring in the men's sizes which are too big for me.

So got 2 pairs of kids Air Jordans - only US$49.90 each!! And very nice!! =)
