终于被我找到了...
Had to help out at work to check for mosquito breeding at open areas around housing estates. Went once last week. Didn't manage to find any mosquito breedings, but many of my colleagues did. And Z keeps "suan-ing" me about it.
Had to go again today, and 终于被我找到了..... found breeding in a big red pail outside the back door of a ground floor HDB flat somewhere near Geylang. Found 4 mosquito larvae swimming in it. Wahaha!! It's quite shiok to find a breeding site - 很有满足感喔! :) Took a 全家福 for them:
Looks gross rite? Yeah... they're not very photogenic :p But anyway, pls dun breed mozzies!! Check out the Dengue Prevention Checklist on what to look out for.

A Long Shot
Saw this ad by chance in The Straits Times today!!
Was wide awake after seeing that sometime in the late morning!! :) Decided to drop by the JetQuay place after dance class.
Had 2 hour dance class today - make up for last week's lesson. KR taught us 8 eights today. She continued the steps from 2 weeks back, so did total of 12 eights to Justin Timberlake's LoveStoned. Very nice steps!! But quite tired after that!!
Got to the airport at about 7pm. Waited outside the gate of JetQuay cos no ticket :( Saw many 帅哥美女 going for the event. Met a Fannatic who was waiting for Fann Wong. She got to see Fann Wong, but I didn't get to see Ms M leh :( Waited till about 8:15pm when it started to drizzle. The "secu" uncle said she probably went in by some VIP entrance at the back. I guessed he's probably right since the event was supposed to start at 7:30pm and Ms M would not be soo late... so gave up and had dinner at the airport before coming back.
Guess it was a long shot going there, but was hoping to see Ms M since haven't seen her for ages! And wanted to wish her Happy Birthday in person. But well... Hope she'll come again soon!

Platinum at the Dance Floor Finals
Platinum's dances at the finals of The Dance Floor. Pity they didn't win, but I still think they were the best dancers of the lot.

Encounter with Ambulance
Felt too weak to dance yesterday, but went to watch the dance class with MW, KL & bb JR. Turned out to be quite an experience!
KR had juz finished warm up and was teaching the first eighth of the steps when VL collapsed onto the floor. Turned out she had dislocated her knee. KR quickly called the ambulance. The Police called her shortly after that... to ask her if anybody pushed VL down. We were all tickled pink by that question! Haha! KR had to explain to them that it was a dance class before they were convinced that there was no foul play.
After the ambulance arrived, the (what do you call them?) ambulance technicians(?) tried to shift VL onto the stretcher, but she was in pain whenever she moved her leg. So they let her smell some gas... not sure whether the gas was to make her drowsy, or to numb the pain... anyway it didn't work!! VL was screaming in pain whenever they moved her. It was after some time, and lots of screams later that they finally managed to move VL onto the stretcher. Then realised that the lift was too small for the stretcher (the dance studio is on the 2nd floor), and they had to wheel the stretcher to another lift... It was about half an hour after the ambulance arrived that they managed to get VL into the ambulance. Luckily it's not a life-threatening situation man!
At the hospital
Ambulance took VL to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. PL took a ride in the ambulance with her, while YV, 小ADL and me went with KR in her car. The docs at the ER took merely a few seconds to 'push' back into place VL's dislocated bone. But we were at TTSH for nearly 2.5 hours!! Had to wait to get VL's leg bandaged up, wait to get MC, wait to get next appointment, wait to buy the crutches (which cost only $30 - pretty cheap!), and wait to get medicine. PL was the only one allowed to go into the restricted section to talk to VL while YV, ADL and me (KR had to leave early) had to stand around outside, trying not to get in the way of the ambulances which were arriving every few minutes. It was almost 8pm by the time we got VL into a cab (she refused to let us accompany her home). All of us almost died of hunger by then. Legs were also tired from standing for so long.
We were too hungry and tired to go anywhere else, so had dinner at the Lao Beijing Restaurant at Novena Square.
Scary to see someone fall and sent to hospital during a dance class. KR said it's her first time in all her years of dancing and teaching. We were all pretty shaken up by the incident... Think it got KR worried so she told us that we'd better show up for class next week!! Hee hee!
Not a pleasant incident, but got to know more about dance mates during our 2.5 hours together. For example, didn't know that YV was a vegetarian before yesterday, and definitely didn't know that PL has a level 112 magician character in MapleSEA. She's one happening lady man!! Comes for class with her 2 teenage daughters, and plays MapleStory!! Way cool!

Fever
Think was too pissed the last 2 days... blood boiling most of the time... ended up with a 39.1 deg fever out of the blue :( Was very sudden, with no symptoms of flu at all.
Fever started on wed night, went to see Doc on thursday morning, and got 2 days mc cos fever was very high. Doc said to look out for rashes in case it's dengue fever, and gave me extra powerful panadol. At first I didn't want to eat the extra powerful panadol. Juz stuck to the normal panadol, but fever was still hovering around 38 - 38.8 deg the whole of thursday. So had no choice but to take the super panadol this morning. Fever subsided by late afternoon. Really powerful panadol... only took 3 times (2 pills each time) for the fever to subside completely. And lucky no rashes, so not dengue.
Wonder if fever was due to my hot temper the last 2 days...

Great Service from SingNet
There has been something wrong with my internet connection recently (yup yup, think i have repeated this many times already), so I finally called up the SingNet technical hotline on Labour Day (1 May). After asking me to try to connect the modem directly to the phone jack in the wall, which did not work, they told me that they would do a one to one replacement of my modem, even though my modem is more than 1 year old and the warranty is over. The modem will be delivered to my house and they would waive the cost of the modem. It was totally unexpected!
The modem was supposed to be delivered on Friday (4 May) between 9am to 1pm by SingPost, and I had to return my old modem with the power cable. My aunt was free to wait at home for the modem on Friday. I thought she would have a long wait, but surprisingly, SingPost arrived before 10am on Friday with the new modem all packed up in a box.
Finally installed the modem last night. So now, my internet connection is totally fine! Played MapleStory last night after a long break!
Very impressed with SingNet and SingPost!! Kudos to SingNet for their great service!! =)

Priorities
Something happened yesterday... Made me think about my priorities. I seem to have them all jumbled up. Definitely need to take some time to think and re-prioritise.....
